We’re celebrating Britain’s finest food and drink businesses with Foodpreneur Festival 2015: a one-day festival curated by Sir Richard Branson that will give standout start-ups in two categories the chance to grow their businesses and hundreds of others the opportunity to learn what it takes to launch a successful food or drink startup, at our workshop.

The Showcase Event

All workshop attendees are invited to join the invite-only showcase event highlighting the winners of the Foodpreneur Festival Competition in Retail and Street Food. This event is not to be missed as it will be chock-full of some of the biggest names in the UK foodscape, including influential foodies, bloggers, foodpreneurs, and - most importantly - some pretty tasty treats.

We're seeking Britain’s best food and drink businesses and have some fantastic prizes for the winners




Four winners – yup, four – will receive the chance to travel to the US and pitch to the buyers at Target Corporation, one of America's leading chain stores, for six months’ trial distribution and promotion. An icon of the American retail landscape, Target has been trading for over a hundred years and in 2014 alone generated $72.5 billion worth of sales. Win this category and your product will be tested in 300 stores with the potential to stock all 2000 stores should the trial go well.



Street Food (and Drink)

One winner will get a rent-free pop up space for one week (Monday – Sunday) at London’s Old Street Underground Station, courtesy of pop-up experts Appear Here. Having your business showcased at an enormously busy underground station in Zone One means a lot of footfall – we’re talking 70,000 people per day. Not just that, but we’re also giving another winner a rent-free stall at Urban Food Fest in Shoreditch, London for three months (opening hours 12:00pm – 12:00am every Saturday) –Urban Food Fest is a leading London street food festival all about amazing grub, live music, and good times.

*Appear Here winner: Food cannot be cooked on-site. Pre-cooked and then electronically heated food is fine. You’ll be required to open Monday - Friday: 07:30 – 19:00 and Saturday/Sunday: 12:00 – 18:00.
